Sometimes we feel like we have our own Circus

Our Clowns

This is truly one of my favorite family activities. I am always amazed by the things that people are willing to do. I love watching the kids faces as each new act begins and the excitment for the next. I think they have as much fun at the pre-show when they can get up close and personal asthey do when the famous " Ladies and Gentelman..." speach begins. It is definatly a family trdition we will continue.. even after the kids have grown!

Everything happens for a reason !?!

Okay I have so much to blog about but am way to tired to do it now! I went to bed last night ( Kasey's birthday mind you) eagerly awaiting my girls retreat to Greer! We had the weekend planned and I was eager for some "me" time!
Well, God had another plan ..... at 2:00 am Kasey woke me up and he was in sooo much pain! He was doubled over and could barley move his right leg. So I get dressed, grab Kaydon and off we go to the ER! By 3:00 am they were sure it was his appendix so we were waiting for the test results, Kaydon was watching movies and eating a Popsicle and I was trying to figure out what I had to rearrange. I am not good when plans break and I had a tone of them. We were on our last day of Vacation Bible school (where I was working in a class), I was heading to Greer with a fun filled weekend that afternoon, had all the kids from that night for a week, planning cousin camp starting next Monday as well as getting ready to teach my first camp at Ladybug Preschool on Monday morning! PLUS our back window EXPLODED on Father's Day night and was supposed to get it replaced that day!
Well... God only gives you what you can handle and there is a reason!?! so by 8:00 am we had Kasey in a room waiting for surgery, i met with my mom at home for her to get kaydon, I had the kids taken care of for the weekend, I headed to church to tell them I would not be there and pass things off to my cousin for our Get-A-Way! My Dad was going to wait for my window and I was going to go be with Kasey! 1:00pm we are in pre op!!! Yeah.. finally some relief! I remember how painful this is! 3:00 he is in and at 4:00 the Dr. comes out with the good news.. IT IS OUT!!!! 5:30 he is back in the room and I couldn't be more relieved!

My Live Laugh Love girls were almost to Greer and I was assuring my husband that there was no place I would rather be... and I meant it. Our you kidding.. I never thought twice about going! 8:30 p.m. Kasey is asleep and I just realized all that I have had all day was 1 coffee and 1 coke zero! After I get home to the mess the dogs made and was alone...I didn't want to eat. I was so sad that I missed this amazing weekend. But at the same time I am so thankful that I was home and Kasey wasn't alone with the 4 kids while I was in Greer when it occurred! When you look at things from another perspective .. it can change your whole attitude! Thank you God for the way things worked out! I hope the girls have a FANTASTIC time and now how I am there in Spirit!!! As for me.. I am going to get my house ready for my favorite patient to hopefully come home tomorrow! Now I just need to figure out what I am going to do next week!!!

Daddy's Birthday

Kasey's birthday this year was low key for us. We will be celebrating later. It was fun just being together and the kids made him the cutest coupon book of chores they are going to do for him. I Will say that he is the most incredible man, husband and father. We are all so lucky!!! He has entered his last year of his 20's and he says he can't wait to turn 30!
Kasey and I got an idea to try something new each year. This is our way of checking off the BIG list of things we want to do. It has to be done by our next birthday. He is thinking about Magic Mnt. and I would love to take him. It has been forever and I love the rides! But who knows... it is a long year and he has plenty of time to change his mind!
